Vegan friendly places.

We know that you may be dining without vegans and it can be hard to find vegan food in a normal restaurant. Here is a number of restaurants and cafes in Dublin that serve vegan options and are vegan friendly! Everybody can enjoy their meal!



There has been a large amount of new vegan option finds in Dublin, so this page needs to be updated big time! For now, here is a list of additional restaurants/cafes in Dublin which offer a vegan option.

The Counter

The Counter Burger - Vegetarian and Vegan burger option ​

The Counter is a custom build your own burger restaurant that offer a Vegan Burger. You have lots of options regarding toppings, salad leaves, sauces and sides! You simply tick all the boxes of the toppings and sauces you want.If you get the burger in a bun, be sure to tell them not to butter the bun. They also offer a great €9.95 lunch deal.

We recommend: Vegi burger in a bowl served with all your favourite toppings with the irresistible sweet potato fries.
Visiting Dublin?: The city centre counter is just at the bottom of Grafon Street, beside Trinity and beside the Discover Ireland Centre. And The Counter is also located in Dublin's answer to extreme shopping under one roof, Dundrum Town Centre.

​Cafe Irie

Cafe Irie is located in the heart of temple bar and offer lots of vegetarian options but also have a handy vegan Club sandwich. The  Vegan club contains Hummus, roasted vegetables, lettuce on the first layer with cheddar, salsa and guacamole on the next. And the veggie contains cheddar cheese.

We recommend: The Vegan Club and a lovely coffee!
Visiting Dublin?: Located right in Dublin's culture district Temple Bar. So pop into Cafe Irie for a vegan lunch after making your way through Temple Bar's many pubs!

​Rothar Cafe

Rothar Cafe- Vegan and Vegi sandwichs and soup available

16 Fade Street

Bike cafe, soup, coffee, sandwiches, cakes​

A bike cafe where your bike can be fixed while you have breakfast or lunch. Serves sandwiches and soups, with some vegan ones or can be made vegan. Has vegan cakes and organic coffee. Brunch every Saturday.

We recommend: The vegan sandwich and coffee!
Visiting Dublin?: Located right in Dublin's creative quarter. Check out George's street arcade around the corner and blazing salads (vegetarian deli) down the road. Also located just off Grafton street and Stevens's Green!

Boojum

Boojum Mexican Buritto Bar- Vegan Burritos

Possibly Dublin's favourite Burrito Bar and they have vegetarian and vegan options. The Burrtios are vegan minus the cheese and sour cream. They are seriously tasty too! Load up with pinto and black beans, rice, juicy fried vegetables and loads of guac and salsa. At just under 6 euro too.  


We recommend: The burrito and to ensure you don't hit at rush hour! The ques can be out the door it's so popular! 
Visiting Dublin?: Located in Dublin's Italian quarter, home to many Italian eateries. Also just across the bridge from Temple Bar and located behind Jervis Street shopping center  The National Leprechaun museum is also just around the corner!

​Nandos 

Nandos- Vegetarian and Vegan burger option ​
Dundrum Town Centre, Mary Street & 13 St Andrew Street.

Nandos are popular piri piri chicken chain which offer several vegi options for both vegans and vegetarians. The 'veggie' burger is vegan and the 'beanie' burger is vegetarian!! You can choose your spice level and if you want it in a wrap, bun or pitta. 

We recommend: The veggie burger in a wrap with chips and lots of spicy sauce. Pitta with hummus to start is very tasty too!

Tisiting Dublin?: There are 2 city centre nando locations. One on the south of the city on south frederick st, located beside Grafton Street, Trinity and across the road from Temple Bar.

​Itsa Bagel

Itsa  Bagel are great for a quick lunch where there are loads of yummy bagel options. They offer cakes, coffee and soups too. All good. They have a Kind Veggie vegan bagel which has hummous, guac, roasted peppers and salad is vegan and a serious favourite of mine. The lentil and vegetable soup is vegan also!


We recommend: The kind Veggie Bagel and the letil soup if you're extra hungry.
Visiting Dublin?: The Arnotts location on abbey street is just of the historic O Connell street. There is one located in Dun Laoghaire, a sea side suburb town. Worth a visit for scenic walks along the pier with coffee after lunch!

​Milano

Milano- Cheeseless vegan pizza

An Italian restaurant which offers delicious pizza which has a vegan base. So you can have an equally good pizza covered in toppings and salad. And sorbet to finish! 



We recommend: Pizza topped with chargrilled vegetables!​
Visiting Dublin?: Great for an evening meal in one of the many city centre locations.

Wagamama

Wagamama- Japanese style food 

South King Street, Dundrum shopping centre and Blanchardstown

Japanese, Asian, Noodles, Salad, Sushi, Vegan Menu

Wagamama is a big hit with those who like Asian food. I've only had a couple experiences with Wagamama but they are well catered for vegans with a special menu listing what is vegan. A lot of the dishes have tofu substitutes for the meat.  Just ask for the dietary menu when there! 



We recommend: Not enough experience to comment but prepare to wait for a table during busy times!
Visiting Dublin?: The South King Street location is in the basement of Stevens Green shopping center right off Grafton Street, nice and central! Alternatively, if you're out shopping in Dundrum, there is a location there.
